Here are some photos of the activities during the last few days before our Open House as well as photos of the Open House itself.If you missed the event, please feel free to drop by and see the transformation of our iconic Richard Sharp Smith home from its neglected state to its original splendor!We have embodied our motto "Life is too short not to be comfortable" in our own working environment. At twenty-six and with only $500 in her pocket Judy Pickett had big dreams. In the fall of 1979, Judy opened the doors at Design Lines, Ltd. in a little yellow house off of Glenwood Avenue. Today we celebrate those big dreams and the thirty-year journey since the yellow house.
Now with seven employees, Design Lines, Ltd. has established itself as one of the première design firms in the Southeast, gaining clients with our abilities to leverage collaborative efforts and create design that positively impacts people's lives. From the beginning, the design philosophy has always been about the client. So, it is with this history that we celebrate our clients, our partners, and our friends!
Design Lines in the PAST:

In the fall of 1979, Judy opened the doors at Design Lines, Ltd. in a little yellow house off of Glenwood Avenue. (pictured right) and (pictured left, is Judy outside the Peace Street office.) This location was our second home until about 6 years ago when we move into our current space off of Jones Franklin Road. Above Molly and Judy head-shots from the earlier years.

Wreath Theme: (due 11/10 for brainstorming time) (for ideas - previous years included: Noah's Ark, A Natural Christmas, Christmas on the Course, The Nutcracker, Copper Fantasy, Holiday Cheer, Christmas in the Kitchen, Christmas at Tiffany's, etc.)
Note: there will be local "celebrity" judges reviewing wreaths for the following awards:Best in Show, Holiday Classic, Most Creative, and Charleston's Choice Award (highest bid value)

*If you are partnering with another designer(s), just fill out your information accordingly as well but please have one person submit it to me.

Wreath information and deadlines:
- Please purchase (or you can see if a local florist/company would donate a wreath for this purpose) a 24" artificial wreath to decorate. Please stick to these guidelines so the wreaths will be consistent for bidding purposes. Only artificial wreaths can be submitted as they will be preserved throughout the season.

- Wreaths need to be completed and turned in on Wednesday, November 18th between 10am - 3pm. Please drop off wreaths at the Orient Express Boutique inside Charleston Place http://www.charlestonplace.com/. Phone Number: 843-937-9142

- Festival of Wreaths event: December 10, 6 - 8 at Palmetto Café inside Charleston Place. We highly encourage all wreath designers to attend. We also ask that you get 3-5 people to register for the event (friends, family, colleagues, clients).
Tickets can be purchased from the Orient Express Boutique and are $10 early rate and $15 at the door. You can buy your tickets via phone at 843-937-9142 or pick them up when you drop your wreath off.

- On the day of the event, please bring business cards to put with your wreath for promotional purposes as well.
